It’s 1:45 am Friday in Ukraine, what do we know?

• Today marks the one month anniversary of the war

• Kyiv remains under the control of Ukraine

• Speaking at the NATO summit today, President Biden said the US would ‘respond’ to a chemical or biological weapons attack by Russia

• As expected, the US announced a new round of sanctions on several Russian companies and members of Russia’s State Duma.  Canada also announced similar sanctions

• Mariupol City Council reports trapped residents of the city are dying from starvation

• The Washington Post has a disturbing story about Virginia Thomas, Justice Clarence Thomas’s wife.  In a series of texts with then White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Mrs. Thomas urged the Trump White House to overturn the results of the 2020 election.  The texts were among more than 2000 Meadows provided to the January 6th Committee before he stopped cooperating
